Matthew Silvester, Michael Smith and Lee Ambler from PMS Diecasting, recently attended and successfully completed machine training at the Frech Technology Centre in Schorndorf, near Stuttgart in Germany. These three employees were recently selected as the first diecasting operators to receive advanced training as part of the PMS investment in it’s employees to upskill all it’s machine operators to become ‘Diecasting Technicians’.

The week long training course saw the PMS team (Hot Chamber Group) learn about the ins and outs of Frech machines, making good castings, die temperature controls, tool design, use of die-lube spray, fault finding, correct settings, system parameters and injection moulding.

In addition to the advanced training, there was time to socialise at the famous ‘Cannstatter Volksfest’ in Stuttgart!

PMS Diecasting currently has 14 Frech machines used on a daily basis producing millions of quality zinc diecastings every month. Frech is the World’s leading producer of diecasting machines and technology for zinc, magnesium and aluminium.
